Lefties will boycott Whole Foods for conservative CEO Righties to the Rescue!!!!!

Righties to the Rescue!!!!! Let's all go grocery shopping at Whole Foods this week!!!!
Calls to boycott Whole Foods Market are growing louder and more sophisticated following a Wall Street Journal opinion article by the company's chief executive, John Mackey, in which he criticized President Obama's health care plan and offered his own alternative.
Mackey's article first prompted individuals to threaten taking their business elsewhere. But now the Progressive Review, an online alternative publication, is calling for a formal boycott, and campaigns are popping up all over, including on Facebook, a popular online social networking site.
Protesters are hoping a boycott will cut into the success of Whole Foods, the 10th largest food and drug store in the U.S., which reported sales of $1.8 billion for the last quarter, a 2 percent increase from the previous quarter.
As of Saturday, the Whole Foods Internet forum had more than 4,000 postings. One commenter thanked Mackey for revealing his political views.
"While it was a horrible business move, it was a great courtesy," a commenter identified as boycottwf wrote. "Now, I know that my dollars spent at whole foods are going to fund your misguided conservative views."
The commenter added, "Until you publically apologize to the nation and pledge that you will provide better benefits to your employees, I will not spend another dime at your store."
Another commenter identified as Betrayed, who claims to have been a customer for nearly 20 years, said, "I was so shocked to read Mr. Mackey's horrible, horrible opinion in the WSJ. I hope this severely hurts his profits. His customer base is mostly liberal Democrats who will, like me, be horrified at what we have been supporting all this time."
Phone messages left Saturday seeking a comment from Whole Foods were not immediately returned.
In the opinion article, published Wednesday, Mackey offered eight reforms for the health care system and outlined Whole Foods' employee health insurance policy.
Click here to read the Wall Street Journal article.
Whole Foods pays 100 percent of the premiums, but not the deductibles, for all employees who work 30 hours or more per week, or about 89 percent of its workers, and gives each employee $1,800 per year in "health-care dollars" that can be used for health and wellness expenses, according to the article.
Among the recommendations he made: equalizing tax laws for health insurance benefits; repealing all state laws which prevent insurance companies from competing across state lines; repealing government mandates regarding who they must cover; and enacting tort reform and Medicare reform.
Mackey argued that health care is not a right, noting that neither the Declaration of Independence nor the Constitution guarantees it.
"While all of us empathize with those who are sick, how can we say that all people have more of an intrinsic right to health care than they have to food or shelter?" he wrote.
"Health care is a service that we all need, but just like food and shelter it is best provided through voluntary and mutually beneficial market exchanges," he continued.
Mackey's opinion article started with a quote from former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher: "The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money."
Mackey's article appeared to be consistent with the views of dozens of doctors and business executives who have weighed in on the controversial bill. But Mackey's comments have drawn a much harsher reaction and is being compared to an "organized campaign to defeat a single payer health insurance system."
Yet Mackey did draw supporters as well on the forum who said they would start shopping at Whole Foods because of Mackey's article. A commenter identified as Guns & Liberty wrote that he will start shopping there to "support this man who understands the real needs of this country and it isn't paying for doctors for a bunch of lazy smelly hippies who need a bath."

The real grass roots to win back freedom in America

Become a Precinct Committeemen in your neighborhood
Why and How to Become a PC
Who Is A Precinct Committeeman?
A PRECINCT COMMITTEEMAN IS THE ONLY PARTY OFFICIAL DIRECTLY ELECTED BY THE REPUBLICAN VOTERS.
A committeeman and his or her fellow committeemen represent the Republican party to the people. He or she is a primary contact between voters, candidates and elected officials. It is his or her job to make sure the Republicans in their assigned precincts are informed and prepared to get their vote to the ballot box.
What Are The Responsibilities Of a Precinct Committeeman?
A precinct committeeman has many varied responsibilities.
You may be asked to circulate petitions for Republican candidates and/or to walk your precinct with an elected official so that he or she may be introduced to your neighbors. The work you do in your precinct WITH YOUR NEIGHBORS can make the difference in an election!
Every precinct is different. That is why it is so important to have active precinct committeemen working with neighbors to obtain the best results. If you live in rural Arizona, the nature of your work will be quite different from the work to be done in urban areas. There are, however, some basic items that need to be covered no matter where your precinct is located. Elected committee persons (by ballot) are eligible to vote for official party officers at county and/or state functions where official balloting for officers takes place.
THE BASIC TASKS FOR PRECINCT COMMITTEEMEN
Elect a precinct captain to assume overall precinct leadership.
Divide your precinct into geographical areas and assign portions of the precinct to each precinct committeeman.
Recruit precinct volunteers and assign specific blocks (or areas) to them for door-to-door and telephone work.
Have REGISTRATION FORMS available in your precinct. Regularly check for newly moved-in Republicans and also for families who will have members turning 18 years of age before the next election.
Maintain up-to-date records of the current REPUBLICAN residents of your precinctAttend precinct meetings. These are called for updating records, planning strategy and other organizational purposes.
Attend district and or county Republican meetings. These will be great places to share information and ideas. Assist your precinct captain in recruiting election board workers.
Assist your precinct captain in establishing election day GET-Out-The-Vote (GOTV) committees and a Precinct Election Headquarters.
Distribute election information and candidate literature to the voters in your precinct.
Frequent contact with your neighbors is the secret to success in a political campaign. Large media campaigns have a place in the political process, but it is GRASS ROOTS organization that gets the votes in the ballot box!
Precinct Committeeman's Important Assets
· Block workers are volunteers who help you by keeping track of a small geographical portion of the precinct, usually their own block of neighbors. Good precinct committeemen find good block workers!
· Election Board Workers are individuals working as inspectors, judges or clerks at the polls on election day. They are recommended by you or your precinct captain through the district and county chairmen for appointment by the County Division of Elections/Board of Supervisors. The County Boards of Supervisors fix the compensation for these workers.
· Precinct Committeeman's Glossary
· Official Roster This is THE list of registered voters in a precinct as provided by the Voter Registration County Recorder's Office.
· Perfect List This is a list of voters in a precinct that has been called or contacted to correct any incorrect information (such as phone numbers, etc) or having moved into or out of the precinct.
· Walking List This is a list either on computer sheets or on cards that is organized by street numbers. This information is available from District officials · Yellow Sheets This is a copy of the list of all persons who have cast a ballot on election day. This list is available at the polling place with proper identification and is often prepared by the clerk of the election board.
· Block worker This is a volunteer who is assigned a small geographical area to work in a precinct.
· Phone Bank This is a group of volunteers or paid workers who make a large number of phone calls into targeted areas, usually to get out the vote, to identify problems or to establish name identification. · Precinct Captain A Precinct Committeeman who is chosen to lead the other precinct workers in organizing the work in a precinct.
· Absentee or Early Ballot This is an election ballot which may be requested by mail and voted by mail. Some voters may need assistance from precinct workers to properly complete the absentee/early voting process. No reason is necessary to vote by absentee/early ballot.

Barack Obama’s brownshirts are after Glenn Beck.We can’t let them win. If they win with Beck, they’ll be emboldened to go after even more people.A while back, Glenn Beck called Barack Obama a “racist.” Given all the terrorists, thugs, and racists Barack Obama has chosen as close personal friends (see e.g. Rev. Wright), it’s not a stretch to say it.In fact, Obama’s Green Jobs Czar, the convicted felon and self-declared communist Van Jones, has direct ties to the organization that’s trying to shut down Glenn Beck. Jones’s group has hired a big Hollywood PR firm and they are pressuring Glenn’s advertisers to stop advertising. If not, they’ll lead a boycott. We need to strike back and boycott these groups for ditching Beck. If they are going to fold so easily in the face of Obama brownshirts, we must push back. If not, who’ll be next? Here’s the list of the groups that have boycotted Glenn Beck. Let them know you disagree. I don’t quite think you get that 59 million people did NOT vote for this President. Glenn Beck talks to a large portion of those 59 million through his radio show and his 5PM EST show on FOX. That you made your decision to stop supporting the show says more about you then about Glenn. I do believe you need to rethink succumbing to the left in this country when you make monetary decisions about your company. I will note that Glenn gets over 2 million viewers each night on his show you couple that with those people chatting with their friends about his show and you end up with quite a few Americans who agree with Glenn. I personally will not buy your products again until your company acts like a independent company who makes their business decisions based on hard cold cash and not the “feelings” of progressive left.Thank you.At the end of the day this kind of stuff helps Beck. Same as we’ve seen with Michelle Malkin’s book sales, Rush’s audience numbers, etc.

Down in the dumps

I cannot believe it took me so long to find AZteaparty website! I have been asking on Twitter for weeks if any Arizonans know of an AZ site organizing protests but finally found this on my own.
Unfortunately, I am unale to help financially. My husband is a "1099" and has not had work since October! My business is down about 50% and we are struggling like never in my lifetime! I am 67 years old, almost all my savings are GONE, not down, GONE!
Just seeing the comments on this site give me hope that there are those that will fight this administration.
The thing I feel most hopeless about is the media. they control the thinking of the masses. The AZ Repugnant's editorial page makes me angry and very sad. The letters to the editor show the ignorance of the readers. The headlines make me throw the paper in disgust. My educated, bright children believe movies about politics are real and that CNN is news.Sorry to sound so depressed, but this website shows me that there are fighters out there.
Yesterday I was getting my nails done and my sweet little Vietnamese technician commented "how wonderful the "cash for Clunkers" program is". I sadly looked at her and asked her if she thought it was ok to take her hard-earned money and give it to someone else so that they could buy a car. She looked at me in surprise, she did not think that was ok and had not realized that her tax dollars are paying for it.
I then asked her how much she pays in taxes and she naively told me that her boss pays the taxes! How do we educate the masses when they do not even believe they are paying taxes and do not know how much?
I then explained the rationale of the program to her and she thought it was a good idea anyway because it took gas guzzlers off the road. The media should be educating her! How the hell do they sleep at night! They are so liberal or must we now say "progressive" so that people will understand the new terminology.
Oh well, thank God there are those out there that do "get it". May God Bless America once more!

Man caused global warming scam!!!!

Hopefully when the public sees this for what it is, the senate will kill it. Man caused global warming is a theory, not a fact. No matter what we do, the rest of the world will not follow. This old earth has warmed and cooled for millions of years. How arrogant to think that we could change the climate with vehicles, good grief. There is a petition signed by 32,000 scientists that doubt.http://www.petitionproject.org/

The teen brain

Teen risk-taking: blame immature frontal lobes; one of the last areas of the brain to develop fully.

Issue Date: May 18, 2003
Science
The teen brain
Surprise: It grows long past childhood. So chalk up some of that baffling behavior to neurobiology, not hormones.
By Tim Wendel
Until scientists began to employ MRI imaging a few years ago, the teenage brain was thought to be largely finished. After all, brain size usually doesn't change that much after childhood. Many assumed it only required fine-tuning in preparation for adulthood.
"Now we're finding out how wrong we were," says Richard Restak, a neuropsychiatrist and author of "The Secret Life of the Brain". "The teenage brain is a work in progress that we're only beginning to understand."
From the thickening and then thinning of gray matter to the development of the all-important frontal lobes, the brain undergoes dramatic change during adolescence. What parents once blamed on hormones is actually "a grand upheaval of the brain," says Barbara Strauch, a medical science editor and author of "The Primal Teen: What the New Discoveries About the Teenage Brain Tell Us About Our Kids".
This upheaval affects everything from schoolwork and sleep patterns to teens' propensity for taking risks.
Risk-taking: Blame immature frontal lobes
All parents want their children to explore the world. But what if the family curfew has become a joke? What if a teenager exhibits behavior that not only worries an adult but also can be dangerous to the kid?
Ron Dahl, a pediatrician and child psychiatric researcher at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, says a desire for thrills and taking risks is a building block of adolescence. The frontal lobes help put the brakes on such behavior, but they're also one of the last areas of the brain to develop fully. Located right behind the forehead, the frontal lobes actually grow larger than adult size in puberty. But the process is far from complete; refinement of the frontal lobes can continue into the early 20s.
"This is a crucial stage of development," says Mel Levine, director of the University of North Carolina's clinical center for the study of development and learning, "because the frontal lobes enable a person to know where they're heading as opposed to having no idea of what the consequences will be."
In calm situations, teenagers can rationalize almost as well as adults. But stress can hijack what Dahl calls "hot cognition" and decision-making. The frontal lobes cannot cope.
Dahl points out that studies are far from complete, but he and other experts contend that higher levels of the neurotransmitter dopamine make teens hungry for stimulation, including risky behavior.

Academics: "Wow! It suddenly makes sense"
Besides the frontal lobes, other key areas of the brain are transformed during adolescence. The corpus callosum, a thick bundle of nerve fibers that connects the left and right hemispheres of the brain, enlarges. The anterior cingulate gyrus, which helps us stay focused, matures, as do key areas in the cerebral cortex that recently have been linked to language development and spatial reasoning. Such development may explain why things will suddenly click for a struggling geometry student: The brain finally can make sense of the subject material.
Several experts contend that music, math and sports can help structure the brain faster and better than simply hanging out or watching television. "The adolescent brain exhibits a tremendous plasticity," Restak says. "Indeed, the adolescent's choices determine the quality of his brain."
Time: Teens really do need extra sleep
But even the best choices, inside or outside of the classroom, will do little good if a teen is too tired. Levine recommends that parents set up a daily schedule at home and stick to it. Instead of telling a teen he can watch television after he does his homework, try saying, "First, spend two hours every evening on brain work. After that, you can watch TV."
Early research indicates that too many timed deadlines, at school or at home, reward impulsive behavior and do little to accentuate the frontal lobes and develop other crucial areas of the teen brain.
Melatonin, an important brain chemical, can wreak havoc in an adolescent's world. Melatonin helps make us drowsy, and in teens it's secreted later at night. Sleep specialist Mary Carskadon, professor of psychiatry and human behavior at Brown University, says such changes in melatonin production push teens to stay up later. Her surveys and field studies show that teens average 7 1/2 hours of sleep a night. She maintains that for brain development, nine hours should be the goal.
"Most teens are very sleep-deprived," Carskadon says. "That's when problems in the development of the frontal cortex and many of those synapses emerge. We are only now learning about the [effect] of sleep on learning and memory. And what's more important during adolescence than learning and memory?"
Parents: You can help new brain cells connect
In childhood, brain cells grow quickly, like new stalks on a plant. As adolescence accelerates, there's an overabundance of new connections in the brain. As teens mature, some connections are pruned away, increasing the brain's efficiency. The chance to help shape this pruning makes parents more crucial, not less.
"This is a sensitive time, when feelings are becoming linked with rational thought," Dahl says. "The stakes are very high, and parents need to feel that it's OK to be monitoring what their adolescents are doing."
When Strauch was researching her book, Primal Teen, she often brought her two teens along. As a result, she found herself more empathic.
"There's so much going in the brain, and it should give us hope," she says. "We should not really give up on any kid. They may be sitting in a lump and sleeping until noon and have pink hair, but there are all kinds of changes going on under that pink hair."
Tim Wendel, the father of one teenager, is the author of "The New Face of Baseball", a look at 100 years of Latino baseball players, to be published next month by HarperCollins.

Many of the liberals that I run into on a daily basis tell me that we need to change our way of life.
One of my customers supports no drilling, giving cash for clunkers and believes rock star prez labumba is helping the economy!
She thinks it would have been a lot worse if he had not stepped up to the plate to save us!!!.
Why do I not understand the way that their brains works? Why is their way of thinking so opposite of mine? I believe "smaller government" makes perfect sense. What makes them support bigger government? Why can't they see what these faces are doing to ruin our freedoms, our way of life? Are these faces that yo trust with the future of this once great country?

Do you want your child to be happy, smart, successful or good

I am not a regular listener to Dennis Prager, once in awhile, I tune in during commercials on my other talk shows. Somewhere around June 8 or 9th, Dennis taked about a survey. I only heard the end of it so I cannot tell you who did the survey or when, but the following were the some of the very profound questions asked.
If you could only choose one, would you most want your child to be happy, smart, successful or good?

So if your child got into an elite college by cheating, that would be ok if it made him happy?

If your child stole “starter money” and became a success in his new business, which made him very happy, would that be ok?

If your child was happy dealing drugs but was successful, had an IQ of 160, and very well educated would that be ok?

Socialized medicine in Denmark

I had a young, beautiful customer today from Denmark. In December of 2007, she had a debilitating stroke from a genetic disorder, a hole in her heart. She was living and working, legally in Arizona. She did not have insurance.
Her ability to communicate is seriously impaired; her right hand has no feeling and is curling up.
She had to return to Denmark as there was no one to care for her after she was released from hospitalization and she needed physical therapy to learn how to function and talk again.
Denmark socialized doctors decided that it was not life threatening to leave the hole in her heart as long as she took aspirin.
A friend helped her to visit here and get into Mayo for an opinion. She was advised to get the hole in her heart closed to alleviate the danger of another stroke but since she has no insurance, this simple surgery would cost $200,000 at Mayo. Denmark considers the surgery unnecessary. This is what socialized medicine looks like, folks!!!!!!! Medical care is RATIONED! She still cannot communicate or use her hand but they have also decided her physical therapy needs to be reduced.

You do not have to be a genius to spread the word!

I am 66 years old, high school graduate, entrepreneur, less than one year of college, Real Estate education, one time avid reader of historical novels, ie., War and Remembrance, Exodus, Michener books, Sho Gun and many many more. I was raised in extremely abusive circumstances in roach infested shacks. I was the first in my family to graduate from High School.
The reason I mention all of the above; ANYONE can write a blog! The reason I blog and twitter is to hopefully inform those that have never cared about the life outside of their little world.
The youth of today were raised in such an easy life and do not seem to care about what goes on outside of their circle of comfort. Since they are so electronically engaged, maybe I can wake up awareness in them that they must get involved if they are to continue in a free society in the manner to which they have become accustomed.
Not only are the youth not interested in world events but I have attempted getting my peers interested in the politics of today and typically they are not interested! They are too busy "cruising", living in Sun City enjoying "the good life", golfing and in general, just enjoying the fruits of their labor with no concern about the up and coming generation. The typical comment I hear about their children and grandchildren is that "whatever makes them happy" is ok by me. After all, "who am I to judge?"
It is not “judgmental” to want to pass on your values to your future generations; it is wise to do so!
Well, I have wandered afar from my original thought as to why I was writing this particular blog.
Original thought is not terribly important in enticing your friends and family on face book to follow your blogs. Whatever it takes to wake them up to the events that will directly have impact their way of life is relevant. I am not the “master” of original thought, I am limited in my education; therefore, I plagiarize interesting points of view and paste them into my blogs!
You can do the same, just investigate further than the headlines associated with mass media, (newspapers and CNN) and copy/paste into Face Book so that others can see what is happening to our way of life!
Get a little daring and allow yourself to be open to ridicule by developing principles that you wish to live by! Share those principles with your circle of influence.
Well, that is all for now, I vented, I guess.

World wide experiments in socialism

Socialized medicine is a failure! When you are associating with socialist liberals, and they declare that socialized medicine works in other countries, I have news for them. It might have been true several years ago but as the European societies lost their youth, the system broke down! Europeans tossed out religion and therefore morality. Many chose not to marry or have children. Those that did reproduce had far fewer children than their ancestors and therefore, European countries do not have enough young people paying taxes to support aging societies! Where do you suppose the wealthy Europeans come to get their medical needs taken care of? America…..of course. So far, we have the greatest healthcare system in the world! If you are voting to allow these liberals in control of our country to nationalize healthcare, please, please, I beg you to give Europe a closer look. Once we go in that direction, I do not know that we could ever go back. I am seriously afraid for my grandchildren. I am 66 so the socialists believe I am elderly, so my care is secured. Those under 55 should be afraid!!!!!

Here are some sites to go to:
Great Britain's National Health Service (NHS) was created on July 5, 1948. As with all government programs, bureaucrats underestimated initial cost projections. First-year operating costs of NHS were 52 million pounds higher than original estimates1 as Britons saturated the so-called free system.
Many decades of shortages, misery and suffering followed until 1989, when some market-based health care competition was reintroduced to the British citizens2.

From Iraqi soldier who wants to be inolved after tour

Andy Goss has sent you a message on The Conservative Underground
After much thought and discussion, I have decided to wait until May to leave Iraq and head back to Arizona to pursue the Congressional seat in District 8 of Arizona. I realize that ya'll are scattered all over the U.S. and indeed the globe, but I would certainly appreciate any advice and encouragement and knowledge you have to impart. I have never done this before and I detest career politicians. I am not a rhetoric man. I don't care about power and I don't want adulation or money. I have served in Iraq for over 45 months and I love my country. I cannot stand around and watch what so many have sacrificed for get systematically dismantled by our liberal president and his minions. It is wrong. I will not compromise my conservative principles for political gain. I will tell it like it is. I will not sugar coat my beliefs and that will probably be to my detriment but I am not doing this to sell out. I hope you all feel the same and I hope in whatever way you are capable you will help me with this huge undertaking. Thank you all for what you do and for your patriotism and love of America. God bless you and America.

President Obama lambasted businesses that use taxpayer money to visit Las Vegas.
It’s okay, however, to use porkulus money to build pie-in-the-sky rail lines from Los Angeles to Vegas for Harry Reid’s benefit.
A Hill staffer points out this morning that Reid and Obama are pushing for an $8 billion earmark in the conference report (shhh! there are no earmarks, remember?) to “construct high-speed rail lines, quadrupling the amount in the bill that passed the Senate on Tuesday. Reid’s office issued a statement noting that a proposed Los Angeles-to-Las Vegas rail might get a big chunk of the money.”
The Hill staffer notes that Reid earmarked $45 million last year for the public magnetic levitation train project — which is in competition with a completely privately funded rail project being built along a similar route.
No wonder they won’t let us see the bill before they rush to cram it down our throats.

Dr. Adrian Rogers:Read it and weep

"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy outof freedom. What one person receives without working for, another personmust work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybodyanything that the government does not first take from somebody else. Whenhalf of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because theother half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets theidea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to getwhat they work for, that, my dear friend, is about the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."
these are the senators that will make final adjustments to that montrosity they call a stimulous bill!

Here is the list of the Stimulus Bill Conference Members. They need to hear from us! Call or send a quick e-mail.
